An impassioned advocate for children. I have worked with children for a little more than 11 years and counting...

 

A career that served children with developmental-different abilities, victims and witnesses of abuse & trauma, and the health of school-age children.

 

My professional background includes: Children's Case Manager at a Domestic Violence Shelter. A Certified Healthcare Professional in several settings with the last 3 years in Physical Medicine/Acute Rehab, Cardiac Surveillance and Med Surg/Telemetry. Health Services Coordinator at a Charter School. In addition, I am a Licensed Health Promotion Teacher, Certified Nutrition Educator, and a Nutritionist.

 

I have worked with kids in several not-for-profit organizations. A former Guardian Ad Litem-CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for the 17th Judicial Court. Along with a Group Advisor for Girl Up part of the United Nations Foundation and have volunteered for several children advocacy organizations. Currently, I am a volunteer teacher for CATCH- Coordinated Approach to Child Health, an organization that promotes health and wellness to school-age children through guided lessons, from introduction to mastery.

 

I enjoy every aspect of teaching and advocating for children! I am excited to bring this vast knowledge and skill to KiddieHab; in order, to provide parents and children with resources, lessons and nutritional/fitness/health information. Welcome!
